About “Aegimius”
The "Aegimius" is a fragmentary Ancient Greek epic poem that was attributed to Hesiod or Cercops of Miletus in antiquity. The title refers to Aegimius, who was the son of Dorus, but the surviving fragments do not directly relate to him. There is no evidence to suggest the poem focused primarily on the Dorian king. Instead, the fragments include references to other myths, such as those involving Io, Theseus, and the Golden Fleece.
