About “Akhbar al-dawla al-saljuqiyya”
Akhbār al-dawla al-saljūqiyya is a historical chronicle that covers the history of the Seljuks and the Eldiguzids. It was likely written around 1262 and serves as a condensed version of the earlier, now lost Zubdat al-tawārīkh. This earlier work was composed in Arabic by the 12th-century Iranian scholar Sadr al-Din Husayni. The Akhbār al-dawla al-saljūqiyya provides a summarized account of the Seljuk and Eldiguzid dynasties, based on the earlier, more comprehensive text that no longer survives.
