About “Alastalon salissa”
Alastalon salissa is a 1933 Finnish novel by Volter Kilpi. It is a two-volume work that takes place over the course of six hours. The novel uses a stream-of-consciousness style, similar to James Joyce’s Ulysses. Some Finnish critics have noted that the stream-of-consciousness elements in Kilpi’s work are not as radical or extensive as those in Joyce’s novel.
