About “Alfiyya of al-Iraqi”
Al-Tabsira wa'l-Tadhkira fī ʿUlūm al-Ḥadīth, also known as Alfiyya al-Hadith or Alfiyya al-Iraqi, is a didactic poem consisting of approximately 1002 rajaz verses. It serves as a guide to hadith terminology and methodology and was composed by Zain al-Din al-Iraqi, a Shāfiʿī hadith expert. The work is a poetic summary of Ibn al-Salah's Muqaddimah, maintaining the structure and key discussions of the original while presenting them in a verse form that is easy to memorize.
