About “Annales Laureshamenses”
The Annales laureshamenses, also known as the Annals of Lorsch, are a collection of Reichsannalen covering the years 703 to 803, including a brief prologue. They begin where the "Chronica minora" of Bede ends, in the fifth year of Emperor Tiberios III, and may have been written as a continuation of his work. The annals up to 785 were composed at the Abbey of Lorsch and rely on earlier sources. The entries from 785 onward are independent and offer significant details about Charlemagne's imperial coronation in 800. The text has been translated into English.
