About “Annals of the Later Han”
The Annals of the Later Han or Hou Hanji is a historical text from the Eastern Han dynasty, written by Yuan Hong during the Jin dynasty. Yuan completed the work over eight years. The book consists of 30 volumes and contains approximately 210,000 Chinese characters. It covers a period of about 200 years, beginning with the farmers' revolts near the end of Wang Mang's rule and ending with the rise of Cao Pi and Liu Bei as emperors.
