About “Anonymus Valesianus”
Anonymus Valesianus is a compilation of two fragmentary vulgar Latin chronicles. It was given this title by modern scholars, in honor of its editor, Henricus Valesius, who first published the texts in 1636. The chronicles are from different centuries—one from the fourth century and the other from the sixth. They are not related in content, but they appear together in the same manuscript.
