About “Anxious People”
It's New Year's Eve, and House Tricks estate agents are hosting an open viewing in an up-market apartment when an incompetent bank robber enters and politely takes everyone hostage. Among the captives are Anna-Lena and Roger, who are focused on buying apartments to fill the gap in their marriage. Julia and Ro, who are expecting a baby, see the situation as another problem. Zara, a lonely bank manager, came to the viewing for the view. Estelle, an 87-year-old grandmother, seems to enjoy the company. As the police gather outside, the anxious strangers try to cope with the situation. They may have more in common than they realize. The story is from a 2019 novel by Fredrik Backman.
