About “Babička”
The Grandmother is a novella written by the Czech author Božena Němcová between 1853 and 1854 and first published in 1855. It is her most well-known work and is considered a classic in Czech literature. The story has been widely read in the Czech Republic and has been published more than 300 times in the Czech language.
