About “Bakuman”

Bakuman is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, the same team behind Death Note. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2008 to April 2012, and collected into 20 tankōbon volumes. The story follows two ninth-grade boys, artist Moritaka Mashiro and writer Akito Takagi, who aim to become manga artists. Mashiro draws while Takagi writes. Some characters in the series are based on real authors and editors from Weekly Shōnen Jump, and many manga titles featured in Bakuman have been published in the same magazine.
