About “Baron Bagge”
Baron Bagge is a novella written by Austrian author Alexander Lernet-Holenia. It was first published in 1936 by S. Fischer Verlag in German. The story follows a cavalry officer's journey through the Carpathian Mountains during World War I. As he travels, the events he experiences become increasingly surreal, involving themes of love, death, and war.
