About “Bewitched”

The Marquis of Ruckley, in a fit of temper, races his horses up his drive and cannot swerve to avoid a girl in the path of his carriage. He carries the unconscious beauty to a guest bedroom and discovers she is a gypsy. Having bet at his London club that he could pass off a common girl as a lady of quality, he sees an opportunity to win a thousand pounds, but had not wagered on falling madly in love with his pretty impostor.
