Beyond Good and Evil: Prelude to a Philosophy of the Future is a book by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It explores ideas from his earlier work Thus Spoke Zarathustra but presents them in a more critical and polemical manner. The book was first published in 1886 by the publishing house C. G. Naumann in Leipzig. Nietzsche funded the publication himself. It was first translated into English by Helen Zimmern, who was two years younger than him and had a personal connection to the author.
