About “Big money”
Most of the big money belongs to Torquil Paterson Frisby, a dyspeptic American millionaire who still wants more. His niece Ann Moon is engaged to Lord Biskerton, who hides from his creditors, while his old schoolfriend Berry Conway falls for Ann and Biskerton falls for Ann's friend Kitchie Valentine, and Berry has been left worthless-seeming shares in a copper mine.
