When the lights go out one night, no one panics immediately. The power usually returns quickly, so it seems like a glitch or a storm. But this time is different. Electrical grids across Europe collapse, leaving no power anywhere. A former hacker and activist named Piero investigates the disaster, but the authorities don't believe him and soon suspect him. With the United States also at risk, Piero teams up with Lauren Shannon, a young American CNN reporter in Paris, to uncover who is responsible. The power is more than just for lights—it keeps people alive.
