Boys Over Flowers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. The story is set at Eitoku Academy, an elite school for children from wealthy families. The main character, Tsukushi Makino, comes from a middle-class background. Her mother enrolls her in Eitoku to compete with the families of her husband's company.
