About “Candy”

Joe meets Candy in a typical boy-meets-girl situation. They talk over coffee, she gives him her number, and he writes her a song. However, Joe soon becomes involved in Candy's life, which is filled with drugs, violence, and desperation. As he learns more about her struggles, he faces real danger. His emotions become tangled, reflecting Candy's own turmoil. Joe comes to realize that love might be worth the challenges he encounters.
