Cathy, a smart-alek and independent high school student, keeps a journal after her boyfriend leaves her. She writes about her feelings of insult and confusion, trying to understand why he left. The journal includes clues, pictures, receipts, and items she found, as well as her comments and doodles. It is meant for her best friend, Emma, to follow and find Cathy using the evidence and story she left behind. The book uses informal language, text lingo, chat messages, and handwritten notes to tell the story. It is a novel by Sean Stewart and Jordan Weisman.
