Chivalry is a collection of romantic tales set in medieval France and England, featuring royal figures from history and centered on the theme of courtly love, in which knights preserve honor and remain devoted to their mistresses. The ten stories, each associated with a queen and written in the form of ten-line stanzas known as dizains, reflect the tradition of the troubadour, with characters singing of their love and loyalty.
