About “Chroniques & Annales de Haynnau”
The Chronicles of Hainaut is an illuminated manuscript in three volumes that traces the history of the county of Hainaut up to the end of the 14th century. The text was created between 1446 and 1450 by Jean Wauquelin as a French translation of a three-volume Latin work titled Annales historiae illustrium principum Hannoniæ, which was written by Jacques de Guise between 1390 and 1396.
