About “Clybourne Park”
Clybourne Park is a 2010 play by Bruce Norris, inspired by Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. It takes place in the city of Chicago and reflects fictional events set during and after Hansberry's play. The play premiered in February 2010 at Playwrights Horizons in New York. It later had its UK premiere at the Royal Court Theatre in London and its Chicago premiere at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. The Washington Post described the play as applying a modern twist to issues of race, housing, and aspirations for a better life.
