About “Code to zero”

A man wakes up terrified, suffering from a strange hangover and not knowing who he is or how he ended up in filthy public restrooms. He finds a newspaper and learns it is January 29, 1958, and the day's news is the third attempt to launch the Explorer, the first American space satellite. If this launch fails, the USSR will dominate the space race. Luke begins to search for his identity and realizes his difficult situation is connected to relationships he formed years earlier at Harvard University. He was part of a group of two men and two women, emotionally connected but unknowingly on opposite sides of the Cold War political theater. The love and hate between the four characters during their youth will shape their decisions and actions in a life-or-death struggle, as the countdown at Cape Canaveral has already begun.
