About “Codice Atlantico”
The Codex Atlanticus is a 12-volume set of drawings and writings by Leonardo da Vinci, the largest single collection of his work. It contains 1,119 leaves, dated from 1478 to 1519, and covers a wide range of topics, including flight, weaponry, musical instruments, mathematics, and botany. The codex was assembled in the late 16th century by the sculptor Pompeo Leoni, who combined and rearranged pages from different notebooks.
