About “Crime”

Crime is a thriller by Irvine Welsh that follows Detective Inspector Ray Lennox, a man struggling with the aftermath of a mental breakdown caused by occupational stress and cocaine abuse. After a fight in Florida, Lennox is left responsible for Tianna, a ten-year-old girl whose mother is involved with a gang of paedophiles. He takes her to a marina on the Gulf of Mexico, where he uncovers a dangerous underworld. Lennox must protect Tianna while dealing with his own mental fragility and the emotional trauma from a past child sex murder case. The novel explores themes of corruption, abuse, and redemption.
