Capital: A Critique of Political Economy, also known as Das Kapital, is a foundational text in Marxist theory written by Karl Marx. It is a critical analysis of political economy aimed at uncovering the economic patterns that support the capitalist mode of production. The work is divided into three volumes. Only the first volume was published during Marx's lifetime, in 1867.
