Also known as Demons or The Devils, this is Dostoyevsky’s most political novel. It critiques left-wing revolutionaries, who are portrayed as divided into various factions and cells. The novel also criticizes the conservative elite for not addressing the widespread dissatisfaction in the country. This dual critique reflects the author's view on the social and political tensions of his time. The novel was written by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
