About “Diaspora”

In the thirtieth century, humanity has split into three groups: those who have chosen immortality by becoming software in vast networks, those who use robotic bodies to interact with the physical world, and a few who remain as flesh-and-blood humans on Earth. A genderless digital being called the Orphan is created from a mind seed. When a disaster strikes the fleshers, it forces the digital beings to confront the possibility of their own extinction due to strange astrophysical events. The Orphan and a group of refugees must find a way to save everyone, embarking on a journey that takes them beyond the known universe into a higher dimension. The novel explores themes of existence, survival, and the limits of human adaptation.
