R.J. Decker, a resident of a Florida trailer park and amateur private investigator, becomes involved in a murder case after a body is found in Coon Bog, Florida, linked to a fraudulent sportsman's tournament. The investigation leads him to confront a cast of eccentric individuals, including a hermit with a taste for road kill, his ex-wife during her marriage to another man, and various dangerous figures connected to large-mouth bass tournaments, all while his own life becomes entangled in the deadly stakes of the case.
