Jules, a young man barely a century old living in a transhuman future where death has been cured, has taken up residence in Disney World, maintained by a network of "ad-hocs." When a new group takes over the Hall of the Presidents with immersive brain interfaces, Jules discovers this group appears to have had him killed, prompting war.
