About “Dracula the Un-Dead”

Dracula: The Un-Dead is a 2009 novel written by Dacre Stoker, a direct descendant of Bram Stoker, and Ian Holt, a Dracula historian. It serves as a sequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula, using the author's own handwritten notes that were not included in the original book. The story begins in 1912, twenty-five years after Dracula "crumbled into dust." Dr. Seward, Van Helsing's former student, is a morphine addict trying to fight evil in Europe. Quincey Harker, son of Jonathan and Mina, leaves law school to join a play about Dracula, directed by Bram Stoker himself. The play reveals secrets about his parents and leads Quincey into a dangerous mystery. As the heroes from the original story are hunted, it becomes unclear if Dracula has returned or if another force is behind the attacks. The novel is fast-paced and filled with suspense.
