About “Ex commisso nobis”
Ex commisso nobis, also known as the Bull of Gniezno, was a papal bull issued on July 7, 1136, by Pope Innocent II. It established the Bishopric of Gniezno as independent from the Archbishop of Magdeburg. Historically, the document is significant because it includes the earliest known written record of the Polish language.
