About “Fath al-Mulhim bi-Sharh Sahih al-Imam Muslim”

Fath al-Mulhim bi-Sharh Sahih al-Imam Muslim is a three-volume Arabic commentary on Sahih Muslim, written by Shabbir Ahmad Usmani before 1916. He began the work in 1914 because no commentaries existed for Sahih Muslim, unlike Sahih al-Bukhari, which had Hanafi commentaries. Usmani aimed to fill this gap but completed only three volumes before his death. The first and second volumes were published in 1933 and 1935, and the third in 1939. Taqi Usmani later completed the remaining parts, finishing the work in 1994 as six volumes titled Takmilah Fath al-Mulhim bi-Sharh Sahih al-Imam Muslim.
