About “Forest of Piano”
Forest of Piano, known in Japan as Piano no Mori: The Perfect World of Kai, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Isshiki. It was serialized by Kodansha from 1998 to 2015, first in Young Magazine Uppers and later in Weekly Morning. The serialization was irregular, with a hiatus from 2002 to 2006. The series concluded after 26 bound volumes. It was adapted into a 2007 animated film directed by Masayuki Kojima and produced by Madhouse. The film included performances by the pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy. An anime television series produced by Gaina aired from April 2018 to April 2019 on NHK.
