Buddy Boyle lives year-round in Seaville, New York, with his family in a small house on the bay, while Skye Pennington spends her summers near the town on a lavish estate with an ocean view and a butler named Peacock. Buddy and Skye fall in love despite their different backgrounds, and they occasionally visit Buddy's estranged grandfather, who shares a mysterious connection to a man known as Gentlehands, a figure with a troubling past that becomes central to a growing mystery threatening their relationship.
