About “Geoponica”
The Geoponica or Geoponika is a twenty-book collection of agricultural knowledge compiled in the 10th century in Constantinople. It was created for the Byzantine emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus. The title, derived from the Greek word "Geoponica," refers to "agricultural pursuits."
