About “Going wrong”
Guy Curran, a man from a working-class background who has achieved wealth through drug dealing and selling sentimental art, is deeply in love with Leonora Chisholm, a woman from a privileged upbringing. When Leonora announces her engagement to a man Guy perceives as unsuitable, he becomes convinced she is being manipulated by her family and friends, and he resolves to prevent the marriage, believing he cannot live without her.
