About “Hangsaman”
Seventeen-year-old Natalie Waite longs to escape her home, dominated by an egotistical writer father, for college, but campus life fails to bring the happiness she expected. She grows increasingly uncertain of reality itself. The novel is loosely based on the real-life disappearance of a Bennington College sophomore in 1946.
