About “Harry the Dirty Dog”
Harry the Dirty Dog is a children's picture book written by Gene Zion and illustrated by Margaret Bloy Graham. It was first published in 1956 by Harper and Row in black and white and was later reprinted in 2002 with added color by the original artist. The book was recognized as one of the "Teachers' Top 100 Books for Children" by the National Education Association based on a 2007 online poll.
