About “Heimskringla”

The best known of the Old Norwegian kings' sagas, written in Old Norse in Iceland. Although authorship is nowhere attributed, some scholars assume it was written by the Icelandic knight, poet and historian Snorri Sturluson around 1230. The title was first used in the 17th century, derived from the first two words of one of the manuscripts. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
