About “Histoire de Gil Blas de Santillane”
Gil Blas is a picaresque novel written by Alain-René Lesage and published between 1715 and 1735. The story follows the life of Gil Blas, a young man who travels through various adventures and encounters different characters as he tries to improve his social standing. The novel was very popular during its time and was translated into English.
