About “Historiae Alexandri Magni Macedonis”
The Histories of Alexander the Great is the only surviving Latin biography of Alexander the Great. It was written by the Roman historian Quintus Curtius Rufus in the 1st century AD. The text is the only known biography of Alexander composed in Latin, distinguishing it from other contemporary accounts. The earliest surviving manuscript of the work dates to the 9th century, though the original text was composed nearly eight centuries earlier.
