About “Hornet Flight”

Ken Follett's novel is set in June 1941 during the early days of World War II, when England is struggling. On the German-occupied Danish island of Sande, 18-year-old Harald Olufsen stumbles upon a significant discovery that could alter the war's course. He needs to inform England but has no means of doing so. His only option is an old, broken Hornet Moth biplane stored in a ruined church. The plane is in such poor condition that it is unlikely to fly, and Harald does not know how to pilot it. The story is described as a dramatic and tragic tale that maintains a fast pace throughout.
