About “I'm alive”
I'm Alive is a book written by Masoumeh Abad that recounts her experiences during the Iran–Iraq war (1980–1988). At the age of 17, she worked as a social worker in a field hospital and medical clinics for the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The English translation of I'm Alive was launched at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The book received the Sacred Defense Book of The Year award and has been reprinted multiple times in Iran. The idea for the book came to Abad in 2012. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
