About “Indica”
Indika is a lost account of Mauryan India written by the Greek author Megasthenes. The original text no longer exists, but parts of it have been preserved in the works of later Greek and Latin writers. These include Diodorus Siculus, Strabo, Pliny, and Arrian. The surviving fragments provide glimpses into the Mauryan Empire as described by Megasthenes, though the full content of his work remains unknown. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
