About “Insel Felsenburg”
Palisades Island is a novel by the German writer Johann Gottfried Schnabel, first published in 1731 under the pseudonym Gisander. The story follows a sailor who is shipwrecked on an island in the South Sea. He builds a large family and establishes an ideal society.
