D-Day is approaching, and for Flick Clariet, a senior agent in the Special Operations Executive, the mission is critical. She is tasked with sabotaging the largest telephone exchange in Europe, a key target for the Allies. After a failed assault with her husband, her group is destroyed, and she faces doubts from her superiors and her own shaken confidence. With little time left, she must form an all-woman team, none of whom are professionals, to complete the mission. Code-named the Jackdaws, they face a dangerous infiltration under German surveillance. The Germans are prepared, and Flick must uncover secrets within her team and among those she trusts. As D-Day nears, she must confront her own hidden truths.
