About “Jianzhuke Shu”
The Jianzhuke Shu was a petition written by Li Si in 243 BC to Ying Zheng, the King of Qin. It was written in response to an order that required the expulsion of all officials serving in the State of Qin who were not born in Qin. The petition successfully convinced Ying Zheng to cancel the expulsion order. This document marked the beginning of Li Si's rise as a key political figure in the Qin state.
