About “King of Thorn”

King of Thorn is a Japanese fantastique manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Iwahara. It was published in the seinen magazine Monthly Comic Beam from October 2002 to October 2005, and later collected in six bound volumes. The series was licensed in North America by Tokyopop, with the final volume released in November 2008. The story follows a group of people who enter suspended animation to escape a mysterious plague that turns people to stone. When they wake, they find themselves as the only seven survivors in a world overrun by strange, dinosaur-like creatures and other monstrous beings. The survivors believe a long time has passed, but they soon realize the changes are not natural and the situation is far more complex than they expected.
