About “Kitchen Princess”

Kitchen Princess is a Japanese manga series written by Miyuki Kobayashi and illustrated by Natsumi Andō. It was serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine from September 2004 to October 2008, with forty-seven chapters collected into ten bound volumes. Each chapter ends with a recipe for the featured dish. The story follows Najika Kazami, a cheerful thirteen-year-old girl who searches for her "flan prince," a boy who saved her from drowning and brought her happiness after her parents died. In March 2008, Kodansha published a related light novel titled Kitchen Princess: Search for the Angel Cake, also written by Kobayashi and illustrated by Andō. This was Andō's first manga to be illustrated without her also writing it. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
