About “L'Heptaméron”
On September 1st, when the baths of the Pyrenees began to show their power, many people from France and Spain gathered in Caudères. Some came to drink the water, others to bathe, and others to take the mud, which is so remarkable that sick people who had given up on doctors returned completely healed. The author's purpose is not to explain the location or the power of the baths, but simply to recount what is relevant to the subject she wants to write about.
